Accessibility
While walking around the medieval fortress of Kuressaare, pay attention to the steep stairs and in some places low doorways and high thresholds!
Wheelchairs
It is possible to access the renovated basement floor of the fortress with a wheelchair, where temporary exhibition halls and a museum shop are located. An elevator has been installed in the castle to access the higher floors, but the renovation work there has not yet reached the point where it can accommodate visitors with wheelchairs.
Car with disabled tag
It is also possible to park a car with a disabled tag in the castle yard, for this please call in advance on the phone +372 455 4463
Strollers
Due to the architectural features of the building, it is not possible to move around the castle with a baby carriage. The stroller can be left in the courtyard of the castle.
Parking
It is possible to park for free at the parking lots along Lossi, Pargi and Allee streets. The nearest parking lots are located on Staadioni street near the Kuressaare stadium and next to Hotel Meri at the intersection of Pargi and Abaja streets.
